Education Committee - Hispanic Education Alliance (HEA) The East Texas Hispanic Leadership Council in alliance with Tyler ISD, Fourth Partners Foundation, University of Texas at Tyler, Tyler Junior College, Parents Anonymous of Tyler, Tyler Chamber of Commerce and other passionate members of the community that want to see Hispanic students graduate from John Tyler High School.

The goal of this organization is to increase retention of Hispanic students and lower the drop out rate.

Members: Hector Guevara, Tom San Miguel, Gilberto Avila, Irma Henson, Dolores Villanueva, Cathy Chavez, Della Mendez and Yolanda Durham.

Web Site Committee - Dedicated to providing a comprehensive communication connection between the Hispanic community and the East Texas community at large.

Members: Irma Henson, Director of Content, Tommy San Miguel, Community Liaison and Fayonne Alfaro, Technical Development.
